Tabitha House for Women
Reaching out to hurting women with God’s love.
Many women are trapped in a world of addictions, domestic violence, and hopelessness. Tabitha House for Women offers women an opportunity to permanently change their lives by showing them love and sharing with them a message of hope.
Located on a tree-line street in South Holland, IL, Tabitha House for Women is a free 6-18 month residential program. Tabitha House provides women who have overcome drug and alcohol addictions a place to learn to live a disciplined lifestyle according to Christian principles, rebuild relationships with their children and families, and gain job and life skills necessary to live independently. Through counseling, bible studies, education opportunities, and job training, women are empowered to make permanent life changes. A court advocate is assigned to women on probation and to those who have children in foster care to assist them in being reunited with their children upon completion of the program.
Just like our Harvey House program, the women of Tabitha House are not permitted to work until they are in phase three of the program. However, all Tabitha House residents volunteer at our Restoration Ministries Thrift Stores, giving them opportunities to develop job skills and gain experience.
