Restoration Ministries’ Thrift Stores

Restoration Ministries operates two thrift stores, which provide important financial support for our organization. Through the generous donations of individuals, churches, and businesses, we offer residents of the south suburbs opportunities to purchase quality clothes, fine furniture, appliances and household items at affordable prices while generating revenue to support our programs.
Currently, the following items are needed:
- Furniture
- Appliances (i.e. washers, dryers, stoves, ect.)
- Books
- Household Items
- Knick-Knacks
- DVDs, Videos, CDs
We gladly pick up most donations. Please call 708-876-8413 for more information and to schedule a pick up. All donations are tax-deductible and are greatly appreciated. We also need and welcome volunteers. For information on volunteering, call 708-333-3370.
An important and unique aspect of our stores is our mission to provide employment training and opportunities for individuals with limited job experience. Residents of Harvey House and Tabitha House acquire basic job skills at the stores. For our residents, working at the store is a stepping-stone for them to get back into the work force and offers them opportunities to gain job skills and build their resumes. After completing these drug recovery programs, many are hired for full-time positions.
